Figured I could squeeze in a fast update while resting up in Pretoria, South Africa. I've been in the hospital for the past four days and only managed to get out today. I will discuss pre-hospital adventures soon enough but for right now I'll stick to the past few days.
Basically I was on my bike and I headbutted a water buffalo right in the face, killing it instantly and giving me its powers. Okay so that didn't really happen but it would be pretty awesome if it did.
So I was on my bike going to language training and I believe I hit a rock or something in the road, and woke up a minute later on the side of the road with some other PCTs. Spent two days in Lusaka doing X-rays and minor doctor check-ups, until I took a plane to South Africa to get hospitalized for a compound zygomatic fracture. The hospital in Pretoria was just as good as any you'd find in the US and I had nothing but the best treatment there. Surgery went smoothly and I was released this morning to recover. Right now I'm still in Pretoria and will probably continue to stay there for a couple days.

ReplyDeleteHi honey, finally i figured out how to post a blob. i called chris to get an advice but he is working late today so i decided to explore. i make it LOL. i am very happy that you are out of the hospital but wondering why there is no phone in your recovery place??? that is weird, are you in a good place? are you well taking care of or you are in cheap hotel? i am concern. looking forward to hear your voice. all my family are asking about you. take a very good care of yourself. love you.
